Lenovo has appointed Kiran Balasubramanian as Head of Communications for India, expanding its communications leadership as the company continues to strengthen its presence across the country’s rapidly evolving technology ecosystem.

In his new role, Balasubramanian will lead Lenovo India’s external and internal communications as well as analyst relations. He will work closely with the India leadership team to shape and execute communication strategies around the company’s business priorities, technology portfolio, innovation initiatives and market developments.

Bringing Cross-Industry Communications Experience

Balasubramanian brings a diverse professional background spanning technology, consulting and strategic communications. Before joining Lenovo, he worked with organisations including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Accenture and Six Degrees PR HK, gaining experience across technology businesses, consulting and public relations.

His experience at AWS provided exposure to the cloud and broader enterprise technology landscape, while his stint at Accenture strengthened his understanding of consulting, business transformation and corporate environments. His earlier association with Six Degrees PR HK added a communications and public relations dimension to his professional journey.

This combination of industry and communications experience positions him to understand complex technology developments and translate them into relevant narratives for different stakeholder groups.

Sharing his new role on LinkedIn, Balasubramanian said, “I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Lenovo as the Head of Communications for India, in a role that includes external and internal communications, and analyst relations! It’s an exciting time to join Lenovo and work with its leadership team to translate and communicate its Hybrid AI strategy that spans personal AI and enterprise AI.”

Leading Lenovo India’s Communications Agenda

As Head of Communications, Balasubramanian will oversee communication initiatives targeting both internal and external audiences. His mandate will include strengthening corporate communications, supporting leadership visibility and building engagement with media, industry stakeholders and analysts.

Analyst relations will also form an important part of his responsibilities, enabling Lenovo to communicate its technology strategy, product developments and business direction to industry analysts and other influential stakeholders.

The role comes at a time when technology companies are increasingly required to communicate not only product announcements but also their broader positions on areas such as AI, digital transformation, enterprise computing and innovation. Effective communication has therefore become an important component of how technology companies build credibility and maintain stakeholder engagement.

Aligning Communications with Business Strategy

Balasubramanian is expected to work closely with Lenovo India’s leadership team to ensure that the company’s communications agenda remains closely aligned with its wider business objectives. This will include articulating Lenovo’s priorities in India while highlighting its technology initiatives and contribution to the country’s digital ecosystem.

His cross-functional background could also help Lenovo strengthen the connection between technology narratives and business outcomes, particularly as enterprises increasingly evaluate technology investments through the lens of productivity, transformation and long-term value.

With his appointment, Lenovo India is further strengthening its communications function with a leader who brings together technology-sector exposure, consulting experience and communications expertise. His expanded mandate will focus on creating stronger stakeholder engagement and supporting Lenovo’s communication priorities as the company continues to evolve in India’s competitive technology market.
