Fynd announced that it is bringing immersive eyewear shopping to Vision Express India through its 3D virtual try-on and augmented reality (AR) solution, GlamAR. Integrated directly into the Vision Express website, the experience allows customers to virtually try on a wide range of eyewear styles, making online discovery more intuitive and engaging.
As part of the implementation, Fynd’s GlamAR converted more than 1,000 eyewear styles from existing 2D product assets into production-ready 3D models and brought them live for virtual try-on. Since going live, the experience has recorded around 3,900+ virtual try-on interactions. The most popular frame was Black Square Frames for Men, which has generated 400+ try-ons, while the top 11 frames account for close to 34% of all try-on activity, offering an early view into how shoppers are exploring different eyewear styles online.
“Creating a compelling virtual try-on experience is not just about adding an AR feature. The real work is in building the 3D catalogue and integrating it seamlessly into the commerce journey at scale. Converting more than a thousand Vision Express frames into production-ready 3D models within a quarter, while bringing the storefront and immersive experience together on one platform, demonstrates what brands can achieve when commerce and immersive technology work as one,” said Ragini Varma, Chief Business Officer - India, Fynd.
By bringing commerce and immersive shopping together on Fynd, the implementation gives Vision Express a unified foundation for virtual try-on, supported by the platform, technical infrastructure, integration guidance, and delivery support needed to take the experience live at scale.
“Eyewear is a highly personal purchase, and giving customers greater confidence while choosing frames and sunglasses online is an important part of building a elevated digital brand experience. With Fynd’s GlamAR, customers can explore and virtually try on various styles directly on our website, making the discovery process more intuitive and convenient. This is an important step in how we continue to bring the Vision Express experience to customers across channels,” said Sam Zac Thomas, Vision Express India.
The first phase of the implementation was focused on building the 3D catalogue and taking the virtual try-on experience live. The next phase will focus on conversion measurement and experience optimisation, using try-on behaviour to inform how eyewear is merchandised online.
