CarYaar Auto Private Limited technology and greater trust to India’s fragmented car servicing ecosystem announced the appointment of Sahaib Singh as Co-Founder and Head of Technology.
In his new role, Sahaib will lead CarYaar’s technology strategy and product development as the company builds an integrated digital platform connecting car owners, workshops and other stakeholders across the automotive service ecosystem.
Sahaib brings more than 10 years of experience as a full-stack technologist, with experience spanning mobility, freight and AI platforms. His appointment comes at an important stage in CarYaar’s growth as the company expands its technology infrastructure and works towards formalising a largely fragmented and traditionally informal car servicing sector.
Building Technology for the Real World
CarYaar is building technology specifically for the realities of India’s multi-brand workshop ecosystem. Rather than relying on complex enterprise systems, the platform is designed to be mobile-first, offline-capable and WhatsApp-native, enabling workshops and customers to participate in the digital service journey with minimal friction.
Under Sahaib’s technology leadership, CarYaar will continue developing its platform across three key user groups.
For workshops, the platform provides digital job cards, photo-based inspections, parts tracking, pickup and delivery management, billing and operational tools.
For service advisors and workshop managers, CarYaar provides web-based tools for job management, estimate creation, digital billing and workshop analytics.
For car owners, the platform enables service booking, real-time job tracking, photo updates, estimate approvals and digital payments through WhatsApp, without requiring customers to download a separate application.
Technology as an Enabler of Trust
CarYaar believes technology should not simply digitise existing processes; it should fundamentally improve the relationship between car owners and workshops.
“Technology has the ability to change the way people experience car servicing. At CarYaar, we are not building technology for technology’s sake. We are building practical systems that make the entire service journey more visible, accountable and easier to understand for both customers and workshops.”
“The opportunity is particularly exciting because the automotive aftermarket is still largely fragmented and under-digitised. We want to build technology that works for the Indian workshop environment — technology that is simple, accessible and genuinely useful on the workshop floor.”
CarYaar’s technology-led transparency model includes real-time photo documentation, pre-approved estimates, digital billing and structured workshop processes, giving customers greater visibility into what is happening to their vehicle throughout the service journey.
Strengthening CarYaar’s Technology-Led Growth
Joel Daniel D’Souza, Co-Founder & Director, CarYaar Auto Private Limited, said: “Sahaib brings a strong combination of technology depth and experience across mobility and emerging technology platforms. As we scale CarYaar, technology will be central to how we connect customers and workshops, create transparency and bring greater efficiency to the entire ecosystem. His leadership will be critical as we move from building the foundation to scaling the platform.”
CarYaar currently operates with a network of certified empanelled workshops across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and is building a technology-enabled ecosystem covering multi-brand workshop services, roadside assistance and spares management.
