AVPL International has officially inaugurated Phase-1 of its proposed ₹80 crore “Drone City Haryana” project at Village Sisai, Hansi, marking a major milestone in India’s rapidly expanding drone and advanced technology ecosystem. Developed under the integrated “Future Tech Park Haryana” initiative, the project has received ₹58.51 crore support from the Haryana Government under the Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy-2020.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Haryana Cabinet Minister Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi in the presence of former Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu, senior government officials, industry leaders, defence sector stakeholders, entrepreneurs, training institutions, and youth representatives from across Haryana.
Spread across nearly 11.5 acres, the Drone City Haryana will act as an integrated future-tech ecosystem focused on drone manufacturing, component production, testing infrastructure, R&D, skilling, deployment, and entrepreneurship development. The project aims to position Haryana as an emerging hub for indigenous drone manufacturing, aerospace innovation, defence technologies, AI-driven applications, and future-ready skill development.
The initiative aligns with India’s growing focus on indigenous drone technologies, precision agriculture, advanced manufacturing, defence innovation, and technology-led employment generation under the Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.
Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Haryana, said, “The launch of Drone City Haryana marks a proud milestone for the state and reflects India’s rapid progress in science and technology-led innovation. Initiatives like this will create new opportunities for youth, strengthen entrepreneurship, and help position Haryana as an emerging hub for advanced technologies and drone manufacturing.”
Strategic Industry Partnerships Announced
The event also witnessed strategic MoU signings across defence drones, UAV systems, EV manufacturing, battery technologies, and agri-drone applications with companies including Aero Drone, iQuantara, OSM, and Wow Green. The partnerships are expected to support the development of an integrated manufacturing and innovation ecosystem spanning defence technologies, smart mobility, energy solutions, and agriculture-focused drone applications.
“500 Drone Udhami Scheme” Launched
During the event, the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation launched the special “500 Drone Udhami Scheme” aimed at empowering Scheduled Caste youth through drone entrepreneurship, pilot training, technical skill development, and agri-drone operations. Under the initiative, 500 youth will be trained and connected with self-employment and technology-driven livelihood opportunities.
The event also featured live drone demonstrations, technology showcases, startup interaction sessions, and presentations outlining the long-term roadmap of the integrated Drone City Haryana ecosystem being developed under Future Tech Park Haryana.
Integrated Future-Tech Ecosystem Under One Roof
The integrated ecosystem will support drone manufacturing, component production, R&D and testing infrastructure, pilot training, defence and agriculture drone applications, as well as AI, robotics, and future-tech innovation programmes.
The foundation stone of the project was laid by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on September 8, 2025, reflecting the state government’s continued focus on industrial innovation, advanced manufacturing, and youth-led employment generation.
Captain Abhimanyu, Former Finance Minister, Haryana, said, “The launch of this initiative from Sisai village reflects the changing face of rural India. AVPL International’s efforts towards empowering youth through drone technologies and future-ready skills are commendable and will contribute significantly towards innovation-driven growth in Haryana.”
Dr. Preet Sandhu, Founder & Managing Director, AITMC Ventures Limited (AVPL International), added by saying, “Drone City Haryana is envisioned as a long-term ecosystem for drone manufacturing, aerospace innovation, skilling, and entrepreneurship. Through this initiative, we aim to create future-ready employment opportunities for youth while strengthening India’s indigenous drone and advanced technology capabilities. Our vision is to position Haryana as a major hub for drone innovation and future-tech manufacturing in India.”
The initiative is expected to connect over 800 youth with employment, entrepreneurship, technical training, manufacturing, and allied drone ecosystem opportunities while strengthening India’s indigenous drone and aerospace manufacturing capabilities.
