Digital healthcare platform Practo has appointed Anant Patel as the new Vice President of Growth and Marketing, underscoring the company’s continued commitment to strengthening its leadership pipeline and accelerating growth. In his role, he will be responsible for spearheading the marketing team in delivering a transformative user experience. Announcing his appointment, he posted on his LinkedIn handle, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President, Growth and Marketing at Practo!”

Anant’s appointment marks a new chapter in his already impressive career. With more than a decade of experience across leading digital and consumer-tech organizations, his 5-year tenure as an India and International Digital Marketing Lead at Disney+ Hotstar is remarkable, where he led the digital marketing work and oversaw branding and marketing efforts. He was also responsible for user acquisition and retention strategies for the brand. He has contributed to some of the most significant entertainment and sports events in the country, having overseen three IPL seasons offered through a subscription model, four World Cups, and launched over 200 content pieces, including regional and Hindi films, original series, and exclusive content.

Alongside the announcement regarding his new role at Practo, Anant also paid gratitude to the job he was leaving behind. For that, he wrote, “After an incredible 5-year journey, I’ve moved on from Hotstar—a place that’s been much more than just work. During this time, I had the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds and lead impactful campaigns across 300+ content launches, from blockbuster series to major sports events. It’s been an amazing learning experience, and I’m deeply grateful to the leaders for their trust and to my teammates for making it truly unforgettable.”

Before that, Anant also played a pivotal role in companies like MakeMyTrip.com, where he was driving digital campaigns as an Associate Director – Marketing, which included user acquisition, retention, performance, and brand building for ‘Goibibo’.

Having started his professional journey with the multinational company IBM, Anant has worked with several notable brands, including Network18, Justdial, Hungama, and OLX, marking commendable accomplishments throughout his career.

Anand holds a strong academic background, with a B. Tech in Computer Science from Jatpee University of Information Technology and a PGDM in Marketing from Welingkar Institute of Management. He also completed a Global Internship in Innovation, Design, and Management from Mälardalen University. Later, he pursued a Digital Insider Programme by Google from the Indian School of Business.
