Design and Portability
Epson PM-520 is an extremely compact and portable printer with a weight of just 2.3 Kg. It comes with a handle with which you can easily carry it anywhere with you. Also, the printer comes equipped with an in-built rechargeable battery which gives good backup. So you can print the photos anywhere, and anytime.
As far as design is concerned, the printer has an input tray at the top and an output tray at the front that can be folded inwards when not in use. The printer also comes with a control panel which is given near input tray, you can flip the panel when the printer is not in use. The control panel has a 2.7-inch LCD screen and some buttons like power, menu, navigation and etc.
SD Card slot is also given on the front on side along with a USB port for wired connectivity. There are two LED lights given on the front left side that indicates the charging and on/off status of the printer. While the rear side of the printer has a charging port and an additional port for connecting the printer cable.
Connectivity
Epson PictureMate PM-520 Photo Printer has quite good connectivity options including wired and wireless. The printer can be connected to other devices via USB cable which allows you to take out the prints easily. On the other hand, this printer has a Wi-Fi feature and also supports Wi-Fi direct option for hassle free printing.
You can also install Epson iPrint application on your smartphone with which you can monitor the cartridge and battery status as well. This photo printer can only handle the papers with minimum size of 3.5 x 5 inches and a maximum size of 5 x 7 inches. It cannot handle A4 size papers.
Print Outputs
The PM-520 printer can print nice looking high quality pictures and exposes colours exactly same to the source. If you choose the picture with very high quality resolution, then you will have to wait a little bit (30-40 seconds) and the print output will be worth waiting.
The input tray can handle 50 sheets of A5 plain papers while 20 sheets of glossy papers can be inserted into the input tray. Ultimately, it is one of the best photo printer to print your favourite pictures on the go.
