Technologies Driving Digital Transformation at the Forefront of BICSI India Conference

BICSI, the premier association supporting advancements in information and communications technology (ICT), concluded the BICSI India conference 2018.

The conference attended by industry experts and ICT professionals focused on sharing unprecedented insights into technologies & standards and analyzed the latest trends and solutions, powering digital transformation and smart infrastructures.

"The proliferation of technology continues to transcend businesses, impacting the entire ecosystem,” commented Mr. Ninad Desai, District Chair, BICSI India, as he officially opened the conference. As the conventional role of IT Infrastructure is being rapidly reshaped by the digital transformation of businesses, it is important that we address the current challenges and quickly respond to new age disruptions, he added.

Mr. Madhusudhan KM, CTO, Mindtre Ltd, noted in his inaugural address, how disruptive technologies are here to stay and impact businesses; while manifesting the biggest challenge to get Indian talent drive these modern technologies and further emphasised, that industry-based learning is the only way to bring about change.

Mr. Kasi Visweswaran, District vice chair, BICSI India, presented key updates about BICSI and how BICSI initiatives are propelling the growth of ICT industry and strengthening the professional community.

Mr. Abhishek Verma, senior application engineer, Belden, on low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) cables.

Mr. Wayne Allen, product marketing engineer, Fluke Networks on supporting the evolving physical layer in new connected world          .

Mr. Kiran Katariya, RCDD, DCDC, volunteer - BICSI India, on learn to succeed – the credential way to professional success.

Ms. Jessica Bello Salguero, global product manager, Hilti on challenges to air flow containment in critical facilities: healthcare & data center.

Mr. Prashant Oberoi - zonal manager, Norden Communication India on security & surveillance - features and trends.

Mr. Nitish V, senior engineer - business development - racks & CSD, Schneider Electric on next generation IT solution.

Mr. Narender Vasandani, RCDD, technical services group manager-Middle East & India, Siemon on intelligent building infrastructure solutions using POE.

A panel discussion chaired by Mr. Bala K Chandran, advisor, BICSI India debated, how SIs can keep pace with the demands of the enterprises and play a vital role in guiding their clients, optimize success and fuel business growth. The panel members included: Mr. Brij Bhushan Singh, Vice Chairman of Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI), Ms. Vanita Yadav, Director, NABET, Quality Council of India and Mr. Kasi Visweswaran, District Vice Chair, BICSI India District & Director, BNA Technology Consulting Ltd.

The conference acknowledged the achievements of ICT professionals and felicitated new BICSI credential holders. BICSI credentials are globally recognized as the standard of professional ICT industry-related certifications and credentialing is a strategic initiative of BICSI that continues to modernize & advance its programs and certification procedures to ensure that programs remain relevant and lead the information and communications technology (ICT) industry.
