Tally Solutions concluded WomenMakingWaves, a multicity event campaign organized as part of the International Women Entrepreneurs Day celebrations. The campaign that was hosted across Bangalore and Delhi celebrated the remarkable achievements of Women Entrepreneurs, their resilience and hard work. The final leg that was held today in Delhi witnessed panel discussions on challenges faced by women in their business journey, power of right decision-making and importance of building a strong network. The discussions also shared tips and advice around business growth and sustenance. This was followed by felicitation of 5 women entrepreneurs for their dedication in building brands.

Moderated by Rachana Chowdhary Founder & CEO of MediaValueWorks, the first panel discussion witnessed CA Divya Aggarwal, Founder Tax Without Tears, Tripti Shinghal Somani-Founder & CEO- KGS Advisors; Womennovator, Rashmi Chadha-Founder, Wovoyage and Neha Kedia-Founder, Chakori - Kids Clothing Brand echoing their views as panelists. Shilpa Mehta, Head of Partnerships & Alliance, IBG – SME, DBS Bank India, Kripi Singh, Founder & Creative Director, AVW Storytellers and Priyanka Dewan, Lawyer were the panelist in the second session moderated by Ravinandan Sinha, Director of Development, MSME Business Forum, India which discussed on the issues that hinder the growth of women entrepreneurs and finding ways to enable them.

The discussion dived deeper into the issues faced by women entrepreneurs in India and key measures required to increase the participation of women leaders in the business ecosystem. Poor self-confidence, lack of adequate support and networking were presented as some of the key challenges faced by women entrepreneurs. The panel also deliberated and shared insights on resolving challenges that women face while running businesses and on the importance of channelizing the strengths or traits to emerge as a leader.

According to industry reports, by the year 2030, India’s working population is expected surpass 1 billion number, and out of this over 400 million women’s economic potential may be left unaddressed if right kind of interventions are not taken now. According to industry estimates, currently, there are an estimated 15 million women-controlled enterprises that are creating direct employment for over 22 million people in India, and this is just the beginning of good times. With timely interventions, women entrepreneurs can play a strong role in driving our countries $5 trillion economy agenda.

The celebrations also witnessed Women Entrepreneurs from across North and East Zone being recognized for their business acumen. Sumita Tulsiani, Co-founder & Director, TravelDilse, Pankhuri Raj, Founder and CEO, Myshka, Shreya Singh, Founder, Fitness Studio by Orchid, Neha Verma, CEO & Co-founder, Whisskers Marketing Pvt Ltd and Deepa Chahal-Co-founder, Amayra Naturals LLP were felicitated at the event.
