“We Are Targeting A 55% Growth This Year as Compared to Previous Year”

Rajeev Ranjan, Editor, Digital Terminal recently held exclusive interaction with Zakir Hussain Rangwala, CEO, BD Software Distribution Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Zakir shared his views about the market landscape, channel strength and strategies for Indian market. Read below the excerpts:

Rajeev: Being one of the most trust cyber security distributors in India, how do you maintain effective growth in the competitive market?

Zakir: We are transparent in all our dealings with our partners. We work closely with all our partner’s till the deals are closed thus helping them in every step towards the closure. Our way of working, profit assurance, and hand holding keeps us in the race and helps us to keep the growth momentum going.

Rajeev: Which key brands are you associated with currently? Do you have any plans to on board more brands in this new FY?

Zakir: The main brands we are associated are Bitdefender, SAFETICA, Endpoint Protector, Zecurion, IPM+, Beehive, Abbyy, Aquila I, Supermail to name a few. We are in discussion with couple of more brands we would like to introduce in the Indian Market this year.

Rajeev: What are the major focused areas for BD Software Distribution in 2022?

Zakir: Our focus has always been in the SMB markets across India and Corporates for our EDR and DLP solutions. We continue to focus on those areas and regions where such customers exist across India. Our focus is also on training our partners and educating them on our various solution which might be useful in their respective regions.

Rajeev: How do you see your overall channel strength? Do you have any plan to appoint new partners in any specific region?

Zakir: Over the last 5 years we have built a very loyal channel partner base which has been offering most of our solutions in their regions / customer base. We are still working on appointing partners in region where we do not have a representation. Currently we have a very good channel strength and this year we will focus on channel segmentation and grow our base accordingly.

Rajeev: What will be your revenue or growth target for the current FY? How do you plan to achieve this set target?

Zakir: We are targeting a 55% growth this year compared to previous year. Our new solutions, and new regions will ensure that we reach the figures we have set the eyes on. Also as now the covid restrictions have been lifted, we hope that business activity picks up across the nation giving everyone the growth they have been targeting.
