TSSC Announced Expansion Plans for Madhya Pradesh

Telecom Sector Skill Council announced to expand its operation in Madhya Pradesh with an aim to promote futuristic skills and train workforce in new-age technologies. TSSC also plans to setup a skill lab at a premium academic facility where students will be trained in TSSC developed courses on Drone Technology and Internet of Things (IoT). 

The existing 80+ training centres in the state have already been successful in skilling, upskilling and reskilling the graduating workforce to the relevant existing technologies and also the technical fields which have recently emerged due to the increased digital penetration in India. This development stands in line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of a $1 Trillion Indian digital economy and the “Make in India’ initiative.

TSSC has already observed demand for call centre/sales executive, handheld device repair technicians, optical fibre and broadband technicians. The current active capacity of all these training centres is 7,500. Additionally, TSSC will setup at least two Training of Trainer (ToT) & Training of Assessor (ToA) academies at suitable locations in the state. The telecom skills body expects to train seven thousand candidates this year across 80+ existing training centres in MP under various TSSC course offerings. With technologies like 5G, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning erupting in the country, the demand of a skilled workforce is the need of the hour and the telecom body is ready to set up these training centres along with the specialized skill centre across the state to align with the requirements.

Announcing this development, Mr. Arvind Bali, CEO, TSSC said, “India has a potential talent pool to add to the telecom and allied services workforce as new technologies are emerging and becoming a crucial part for enterprises. TSSC aims to align it’s skilling courses with the many aspiring youth in Madhya Pradesh to convert their potential into industry-ready resources. Madhya Pradesh has been a significant location of operations in the past and with over a million trained candidates across India since our inception, we further plan to set up more training centres and enhance the employability of candidates in the state”
