“Our Organization Is Leading The Way In Offering Superior Tech-Enabled Services To Our B2B Clients”

Today, technological advancements have propelled the growth of businesses and enabling them to achieve sustainable growth. High performance computing has escalated the operational excellence which ultimately brings the desired results for businesses. Netweb Technologies is leading the path in providing quality tech-enabled services to its B2B clients. Rajeev Ranjan, Editor, Digital Terminal recently held an exclusive interaction with Sandeep Lodha, Co-Founder, Netweb Technologies. Mr. Sandeep elaborated about their offerings, emerging technologies and growth roadmap. Read below the excerpts:

Rajeev: How has been the overall journey of Netweb Technologies so far? How encouraging was it for you to win the award from MeitY for your exemplary contribution to server manufacturing?

Sandeep: Sanjay Lodha and I founded Netweb on September 22, 1999, while the world of networking was being reinvented, with the goal of transforming the landscape of technology in India. We were compelled to deliver a unique product and service to India. We went into a broad spectrum of networking as one thing led to another. We started delving into the server-building components with the cascading effect.  Netweb currently offers a number of software and hardware-based solutions in Server, Workstation, Storage, Supercomputing, Cloud, and AI. Our journey in HPC started with being part of project Kabru which was the fastest academic supercomputer of that time, now we have more than 500 installations and have several pieces of software and solution to make HPC deployment and management easier.

We were ecstatic to earn the award from Meity for setting up servers across India. Our company has always been known for the high quality of services it provides, and this award reflects our dedication to reinventing storage and computing in a way that has never been seen before in the country. With our Make-in-India products, we are glad to be devoted to embracing our 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' or Self-reliant India momentum. We've always aimed to be at the forefront of the industry by emphasizing operational excellence and total client happiness. The entire Netweb crew put in a tremendous amount of work to get this honor.

Rajeev: How is cloud computing taking over the center stage in the fast evolving technology world? How do you see the adoption of cloud by large enterprises to support their operations?

Sandeep: Today if you see there are largely two types of companies either technology or technology-enabled. This is the critical factor that is driving the markets for servers and other technology in space. Cloud also has various forms like Public, Private and Hybrid. What we are seeing is that all forms of cloud are growing tremendously. There are companies that need to get with the application of the public cloud. They are moving those there. On the private cloud, we see a very large adoption happening, it accumulates all your resources in one pool and hence helps organizations to maintain, grow, and also to see that required redundancy and failover is maintained. New applications are now largely moving from monolithic to Microservices or as they are popularly called Containers. These are largely cloud-native and can be easily deployed or moved between Pubic, Private, and Hybrid clouds. Large enterprises will have to move to the cloud if not and the newer setup all will need to consider cloud setup.

Rajeev: What role do you see cloud computing play in the 5G deployment across India? Which are the key industries that will be benefitted majorly by this technology?

Sandeep: Today 9 out of 10 5g deployments are using the cloud. 5G deployment will mean a very dense coverage from 1L devices to 10L devices per square kilometer, which means a lot of instances to manage. These instances need to be auto-scalable and provide ultra-reliability and resilience. To support these kinds of requirements a robust backend technology is required and this can be provided only by cloud computing and microservices. The backend technology will shift to vRAN (Virtual Radio access network) from the current RAN, with vRAN every connection which is going to be providing a large bandwidth, every connection instance will be required to be sliced and made scalable so that every sub instances can be supported within the virtual radio access network (vRAN) with Virtual Distribution units (VDU). All this can seamlessly happen over the cloud with microservices implementation.

These implementations will be required at the edge to mitigate the load and also at the core hence cloud and allied solutions will play a major role in 5G deployment.  Cloud deployment will go manifold and typically the private cloud in telecom. As 5G unravels it will throw an enormous amount of use cases and these are going to transform anything to do with digitization, Including Fintech, Education, and IoT. AI implementation will see a sheer rise in deployment and it will revitalize the AI market landscape in India. With vRAN (Virtual Radio access network) there is a possibility of getting new make-in-India devices to support vRAN with VNF (Virtual Network Function) all integrated with the cloud and Microservices suits. These are exciting times for the telecom coming ahead and cloud computing is going to make that a good possibility.

Rajeev: Please brief about your offerings. How are you supporting government’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat?

Sandeep: Netweb develops its own compute and storage components by building large-scale scientific computing infrastructure to meet increasing demand in the business, research, and education sectors. With our formidable experience in High-Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence, Data Center Computing, Private Cloud, Virtualization, and Containerization, our organization is leading the way in offering superior tech-enabled services to its B2B clients. Our products range from made-in-India servers and workstations to storage devices and solutions for enterprises, cloud, and high-performance computing, all of these goods contribute to the government's goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat by fostering a hardware and software ecosystem in India, which will benefit both domestic consumption and export earnings in the long run. On the services side, we've been delivering cloud-related services to a variety of industries throughout the world, including Telecom.

Rajeev: What is your revenue target for year 2022? How do you plan to achieve this new target?

Sandeep: Global chip shortage has definitely hit everybody and it also means that we do have a good order book ready with us which will spill to the year 2022-23 from the year 2021-22. For the year ended March 22, we still have a healthy growth of about 30% and with the carrying forward of a large order book, we are looking at a steeper growth next year and also hoping for some respite in the global chip shortages.
