Western Digital had recently announced its first-ever eSports tournament ‘WD_Black Cup’ which has now reached to it’s final stage. This coming Sunday will be a battle ground for top 6 teams who will eye to win this prestigious maiden WD_BLACK Cup eSports Tournament. Western Digital collaborated with AMD as well to boost the level of this tournament in line with boosting the Indian eSports ecosystem. The ‘WD_Black Cup’ had two tracks- the WD_BLACK Cup Invitational featuring Call of Duty Warzone and the WD_BLACK Cup Open event featuring Valorant. The first track was concluded in February whereas the main tournament WD_BLACK Cup Open event was commenced on 8th March. The 14 day open event is currently happening and it will conclude on 21st March.
This grand gaming marathon has provided a big and much-needed platform to gamers who were seeking to get exposure. In this eSports tournament, total 128 teams participated to clinch the winning title but as the competition is a bit tough, only 16 teams could stand after the knock-out stage.
In the post-covid era, WD_BLACK Cup eSports tournament has become one of the best platforms for gamers to enable them to showcase their gaming skills. This tournament is witnessing top gaming enthusiasts who have come from across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. As WD_BLACK Cup eSports tournament is in its final stage so out of 16 teams who have succeeded in the knock-out round, only 6 best teams are currently fighting to get into final stage which will happen on 21st March. The competition level in this tournament is too high and getting much interesting as we are closing towards the finale. Even huge viewer base across country are looking really excited and waiting to see the winners for this prestigious eSports tournament.
There are two important matches aligned tomorrow 19th March. The 1st match is between team Godlike Esports and The RAD Syndicate and the second important match is between Team Mahi and Global Esports. These teams have successfully reached at the pre final stage in WD_Black cup tournament but now they will confront each other to continue their winning streak to claim their supremacy. The tournament is being live-streamed on the Esports Club’s Youtube channel.
The prize pool for this event is INR 4 Lakh and will be distributed among the top 6 teams. The winning team of this tournament will be reckoned as the best team in South Asia.
Therefore, all the teams are putting huge efforts to counter other teams and take the title home. This event will help the top winning teams to get recognized and embark on their next journey. Western Digital will be announcing the winner of WD_BLACK Cup on Sunday 21st March.
