realme created a new milestone for its hearables and wearables segment. According to IDC Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker, March 2021 release, realme India has emerged amongst the Top 2 brand in the wristband, watch and TWS category during CY 2020 (Jan-Dec).
realme launched its first realme band in March 2020 and its first realme watch in May 2020. Within a few months of its launch, realme became the Top 2 brand in the wristband category with a 12.3% market share and in the watch category with 15.7% market share in the year 2020. realme also made a significant impact in the TWS segment as the Top 2 brand with a 13.5% market share.
The categories of smart hearables and wearables have grown tremendously in Indian market, as well as globally, owing to democratized features, cutting-edge technology, unique design at versatile price points. As per IDC data, the overall Indian wearables market has seen remarkable growth in 2020, registering 144.3% YoY, with 36.4 million shipments.
