In recent times, the demand for cost-effective PCs/laptops has increased exponentially due to the work from home and learn from home segments. Leading PC brands have capitalized on this opportunity but the demand has surged in recent times which opens up new huge avenues for new players as well. As per the industry sources, Reliance Jio is working on a low-budget 4G laptop called ‘JioBook’ which might launch soon. Reliance is trying to step upon the dominance of leading brands by bringing JioBook to steal their customer base.
The JioBook will definitely be a good choice for those customers who are seeking to buy a budget laptop for their office work or studies. However, the price and specifications are not out yet but as per the industry sources, the laptop will boast an array of promising features.
Out of all other features, the JioBook will be featuring Snapdragon 665 processor to support quality computing. The reports stated that the laptop will have 4G LTE connectivity to Reliance Jio's 4G network. Moreover, the reports further say that JioBook’s display will have a 1366×768 screen resolution for HD viewing experience. It is reported that JioBook will run on the Android operating system and will carry Jio apps such as JioStore and JioMeet.
As per the sources, Reliance Jio has joined hands with Bluebank Communication technology, a China-based company that will help Jio to develop JioBook. Bluebank Communication is an engineering company and develops software and mobile devices for third parties. However, the laptop is still in the development phase and likely to come out by the end of this year.
