ESET and Canon Singapore Enters into Strategic Collaboration

ESET and Canon Singapore announced a collaboration which sees Canon Singapore being formally appointed as ESET’s official reseller for its consumer, SMB and enterprise cybersecurity solutions.

“We are delighted to work with Canon Singapore, which is widely known for its capabilities to streamline and digitalise business workflow for SMBs and enterprises. The company’s strong presence within these sectors will allow even more customers access to our latest security solutions” said Parvinder Walia, President of Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ), ESET. “With online expansion and remote working becoming the new norm, it is crucial for businesses to secure their IT infrastructure and sensitive data against cyberthreats such as ransomware, zero-day exploits and advanced persistent threats (APT).  This collaboration enables Canon Singapore’s customers to seamlessly embed cybersecurity into their broader digital transformation strategy,” added Walia.

Chia Wee Yaw, Director of CONES Division, Canon Singapore said: “As an advocate of 3Ds (Digitisation, Digitalisation and Digital Transformation) and a business enabler, the partnership with industry leader ESET enables us to protect the digital infrastructure that we have built for our customers. With digital transformation accelerating at an unprecedented rate, it is crucial to strengthen cyber security for business resilience.”

ESET currently has a successful joint venture with Canon Marketing Japan Inc (CMJ). The arrangement entails CMJ supporting ESET by growing the brands' presence in Japan within the consumer and commercial market.

With more than 30 years of cybersecurity innovation, ESET protects over 110 million users in 200 countries and territories globally. Almost 40 per cent of ESET’s employees work in research and development, keeping both ESET customers and the world at large safe from the latest and most advanced cyber threats.

Due to the current pandemic, many businesses have adopted work from home arrangements and are beginning to realise the importance of streamlining business processes and developing a smooth document workflow. Canon not only has a proven track record of helping businesses of all sizes achieve these objectives, but also empowers businesses through digitisation, digitalisation and digital transformation by delivering technology and services to simplify business complexity and challenges with its various solutions. The collaboration with ESET serves to further strengthen Canon’s cybersecurity offerings through various features such as the ability for customers to monitor their network from the cloud, which is now more vital than ever with the shift towards remote working practices.

Aside from cybersecurity, Canon’s expertise in infrastructure, application, and automation allows the company to provide end-to-end service support that is managed round the clock to cover all aspects of digital and IT needs, from professional consultation, seamless deployment, project management and client servicing.

Canon Singapore together with ESET are extending a 3-month ESET Endpoint Security trial for customers.
