Indian Social App Chingari Attains 500,000 Downloads Within 72 Hours

In what ought to be a record in the tech world, Indian social app Chingari, the desi alternative to TikTok, has witnessed a massive surge in its subscribers within a very limited time period. The popular short video-sharing app has garnered nearly 500,000 users in just 72 hours and more subscribers are steadily joining the Chingari family.

The demand of the app has been such that it has been trending at the number one spot on the Google Play Store. Chingari’s popularity has already surpassed that of the Mitron app, a TikTok clone platform. In the wake of this meteoric rise in the traction, officials at Chingari are happily working round the clock to offer the best experience to their subscribers.

Mr. Biswatma Nayak, Co-founder of the Chingari App said, “The response of our customers has been overwhelming. Since the word spread that Indians now have a homegrown and more entertaining alternative to TikTok, we have been recording traffic beyond expectations on our app. To keep our customers delighted and entertained with the app experience, we are barely getting to for three hours. But it is a very enriching and satisfying experience.”

The custom-designed audio and video based free social platform was developed in 2019 by two Bengaluru-based programmers Mr. Biswatma Nayak and Mr Siddharth Gautam in their part time. They now aim to achieve the milestone of a million downloads in a short span.

“As Chingari is setting new benchmarks, a lot of investors are showing interest in our app. We are holding crucial discussions to get a good investor(s) on board so as to scale up our free-of-cost social platform,” added Mr. Nayak.

Chingari allows a user to download and upload videos, chat with friends, interact with new people, share content, and browse through feed. A Chingari user gets the opportunity to get creative with WhatsApp status, videos, audio clips, GIF stickers, and photos. And the app is available in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Bangla, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu.

Chingari also pays its users based on how viral the content creator’s video becomes. For each video a user uploads on the app, the content creator gets points per view and these points can be redeemed for money. Thus, Chingari has emerged as a more rewarding app than TikTok as it gives the opportunity to earn both — fame and money.

As our countrymen continue to boycott Chinese apps, Chingari has made its way into the hearts of Indian youths by ensuring transparency and highest data privacy standards. The app, developed to cater fast moving needs of modern Bharat, is updated at regular intervals so as to provide users with a seamless experience.

The Chingari app download is available on all app stores such as Google Play Store and iOS' App Store. Here’s how to download the free Chingari application:-
