
The government has lifted the restrictions and allowed private offices to resume their work with limited workforce after 3rd May. As per the guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs on 2nd May, the private companies can now reopen the offices with upto 33% work strength following all safety norms at the premises. In line with this announcement, the Progressive Channels Association of Information Technology (PCAIT) delegation led by President Shri Alok Gupta, Shri A Singh, Shri Alok Gupta and Shri Saket Kapur, Secretary PCAIT approached local authorities to get the required permission to open the offices at Nehru Place.
The delegation met with ACP, SHO Kalkaji, and SDM Kalkaji in order to ensure the work continuity for private offices in the Nehru Place. After this fruitful meeting, association got the required permission to open the offices but with restrictions of 33% staff strength, social distancing etc under the MHA guidelines which are further affirmed by Government of NCT of Delhi. The reopening of offices is like a relief for the office owners who are facing huge business losses due to complete lockdown. The showrooms and retail stores will remain closed at Nehru Place complexes till further notice.
It is noted that PCAIT has been raising the concerns of IT industry to government on regular intervals for securing the interest of IT business fraternity. PCAIT has brought a great relief to the industry with this initiative.
