UMAX has launched the ‘Mobile Sheet fed Scanner’ with CIS (Contact In Source) technology which functions with options of storage like PC and SD card/Pen Drive that can be attached onto the device itself, thus, completely eliminating the need of a PC. neoteric infomatique ltd. is the sole Authorized National Distributor for all UMAX products in India.
This Scanner is designed to scan A4/ legal documents. It gives us the option to store these scanned documents as Pdf or jpeg (Colour / B&W) images. It comes with a Lithium ion battery with which the user can scan about 250 scans with every charge of the battery. Making it ideal for people on-the- go, it scans credit cards and other plastic cards. Also, the charging time of the Lithium Ions battery is very less- only around 45 min to 1 hour for 250 scans/ full charge. It weighs less than a standard laptop when carried in the bag.
The ‘Mobile Sheet fed Scanner’ supports latest OS of Mac and Win 7 with standard 300 Dpi. Typically, this can be of great use for people like LIC agents, POS in Retail and all retail-outlets where there may be CAF (Customer application forms) which need to be scanned daily, offices with daily scans which require pure documentation and no OCR, in short, only documentation and database management.
We can scan directly by connecting UMAX’s no-fuss ‘Mobile Sheet fed Scanner’ scanner with an iPAD with the help of an Apple iPAD Camera Connection Kit(not included). So now, we don’t even need to carry a laptop if we have an iPAD and UMAX ASTRA Scanner 8600!
