IKEA India has inaugurated a new Customer Distribution Center (CDC) in Gurugram, further strengthening its presence in supply chain and logistics operations in the country. This strategic expansion aims to enhance order fulfillment efficiency, ensuring faster deliveries and improved customer service.
IKEA India has launched a state-of-the-art 180,000 sq. ft. Customer Distribution Center in Gurugram, housing over 6,500 popular IKEA products. Operated in partnership with Rhenus Logistics, a leading global logistics service provider, the facility is designed to streamline order processing and enhance delivery efficiency. In line with IKEA’s commitment to sustainability, customer orders from this center will be delivered using an eco-friendly electric vehicle (EV) fleet, ensuring a greener and more efficient supply chain.
Susanne Pulverer, CEO & CSO, of IKEA India took professional networking site LinkedIn to show her excitement upon announcing this news, she said, “Today, we marked a special milestone in our journey towards North India - the inauguration of our Customer Distribution Center in Gurugram.”
