

At the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos, the Government of Maharashtra, led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nielsen India, represented by Karthik Rao, CEO, Nielsen. The agreement marks an investment of ₹450 crore into the state’s IT and ITeS sector, creating 1,100 new jobs, particularly in technical roles such as AI Experts, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and other specialized technology positions.
This partnership reflects Government of Maharashtra’s commitment to become a global leader in the IT and ITeS sectors, capitalizing on India’s skilled talent pool and fostering innovation. Through this collaboration, Nielsen India will contribute to the development of advanced data-driven solutions, aligning with the state's vision for future growth in technology and analytics.
The Maharashtra CM Office tweeted about the MoU signing highlighting the state's leadership in innovation and technology, positioning Maharashtra as a thriving global hub for IT and ITeS industries.
