Flipkart has appointed Vinay Vaidya as Senior Vice President, strengthening its technology leadership as the Walmart-owned e-commerce major accelerates investments in AI-powered supply chain transformation, logistics innovation, and marketplace modernization.
In his new role, Vaidya will lead technology strategy and platform engineering across Flipkart's supply chain ecosystem. His responsibilities will include driving technology development for fulfilment services, seller experience, marketplace operations, trust and safety, and next-generation logistics platforms. He will also spearhead AI-led initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, scalability, and customer experience across the company's rapidly expanding commerce network.

The appointment comes as Flipkart continues to enhance its digital infrastructure to support growing e-commerce demand across India. Earlier, he spent nearly 18 years at Amazon, holding leadership positions across several strategic business functions. During his tenure, he contributed to the development of marketplace platforms, seller ecosystem technologies, payments infrastructure, search and discovery systems, and India operations, building extensive expertise in large-scale e-commerce technology and platform engineering.
