

Tim Hortons Middle East has appointed seasoned IT leader Vinay Kumar as Head of Information Technology. With close to 25 years of experience in enterprise IT leadership, Vinay steps into the role at a time when digital acceleration is redefining retail and customer engagement across the GCC.
Based at the KSA Head Office and reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, Vinay will lead the organization’s IT roadmap, focusing on business alignment, digital transformation, operational scalability, and innovation driven growth.
Announcing the new chapter on LinkedIn, Vinay shared, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Information Technology at Tim Hortons – Middle East!”

As consumer expectations evolve toward seamless digital ordering, integrated backend systems, and data driven experiences, the IT function has become central to business competitiveness. In his new role, Vinay will drive modernization initiatives, strengthen infrastructure resilience, enhance cybersecurity frameworks, and enable advanced analytics capabilities across operations.
His mandate includes aligning technology investments with long term strategic objectives while ensuring agility across multi location retail environments in the GCC region.
A CIO with Deep QSR and FMCG Expertise
Before joining Tim Hortons, Vinay served for nearly six years as Chief Information Officer at McDonald's India – North and East. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in strengthening digital capabilities, streamlining restaurant technology ecosystems, and supporting rapid business expansion.
Earlier in his career, he held the position of CIO at MMG and also served as CIO and IT Head at PepsiCo FOBO, Nectar Beverages Pvt. Limited. Across these assignments, he led enterprise wide IT transformations, optimized infrastructure landscapes, and implemented scalable digital systems in high volume consumer environments.
