UltraTech Cement has appointed Rakesh Khairnar as Vice President and Head – Technology, Center of Excellence, strengthening the company’s leadership focus on enterprise technology transformation, digital modernization, and operational excellence initiatives.
A seasoned enterprise technology and transformation leader, Rakesh Khairnar brings extensive expertise across enterprise IT, SAP ecosystems, supply chain technology, governance frameworks, cloud platforms, compliance systems, and large-scale business transformation programs across global organizations.
In his new role, he will focus on supporting UltraTech Cement’s technology transformation initiatives, enterprise modernization programs, and SAP-driven digital evolution at scale.
Strengthening Technology Transformation Strategy
The appointment comes at a time when manufacturing and industrial enterprises are accelerating investments in digital infrastructure, intelligent operations, enterprise integration, automation, analytics, and scalable technology ecosystems to improve efficiency and business agility.
As one of the world’s largest cement manufacturers outside China, UltraTech Cement continues to strengthen its enterprise technology capabilities to support operational scale, business transformation, and long-term growth initiatives.
Sharing the announcement through a LinkedIn post, Rakesh Khairnar stated, “I am excited to share that I have joined UltraTech Cement as VP, Head – Technology, Center of Excellence. Extensive Enterprise IT and SAP Leadership Experience
Before joining UltraTech Cement, Rakesh Khairnar held multiple leadership positions at Mahindra Logistics, where he led enterprise IT transformation initiatives across ERP platforms, enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, and digital operations.
During his tenure, he served in leadership roles including Head – Enterprise IT, Head – ERP Platform, Head – Enterprise Applications and IT Infrastructure, and Head IT – People Transport Solutions.
His professional journey also includes leadership and consulting assignments with organizations such as AbbVie, Novus International, Canadian Pacific Kansas City, Anheuser-Busch, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Larsen & Toubro.
Across these organizations, he contributed to enterprise modernization, SAP transformation, solution architecture, integration ecosystems, cloud initiatives, governance programs, and large-scale digital transformation projects.
Focus on SAP Transformation and Enterprise Modernization
Reflecting on his new role, Rakesh Khairnar emphasized his focus on enterprise-scale technology transformation and operational excellence.
“Over the past 25+ years, I have worked across global SAP-led transformations, enterprise applications, cloud platforms, integration ecosystems, and IT operations across multiple industries.
