TI Automotive has appointed Rangarajan Narasimhan as Vice President, IT – Asia and Head of Global Competency Centre, reinforcing its technology leadership as the automotive industry accelerates investments in digital transformation, intelligent manufacturing, and enterprise modernization.

In his new role, Narasimhan will spearhead the company's IT strategy across Asia while leading its Global Competency Centre, with a focus on strengthening enterprise technology capabilities, driving automation, enhancing global IT delivery, and enabling scalable digital platforms to support business growth.

Driving Enterprise Technology Transformation

As Vice President, IT – Asia and Head of Global Competency Centre, Narasimhan will be responsible for advancing TI Automotive's regional technology strategy and expanding its global IT capabilities. His mandate includes modernizing enterprise systems, accelerating automation initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and supporting digital business transformation across manufacturing and corporate operations.

The appointment reflects the company's continued emphasis on building agile technology ecosystems capable of supporting connected manufacturing, cloud-enabled operations, and next-generation mobility solutions.

Brings Extensive Global Technology Leadership

Narasimhan brings more than two decades of experience in IT leadership, enterprise applications, ERP transformation, automation, digital business transformation, and global technology delivery across manufacturing, consulting, and automotive industries.

Before joining TI Automotive, he spent more than five years at Vertiv, where he held several senior leadership positions, including Chief Information Officer – Asia, Global Hub Leader – Pune, Global Automation Head, Vice President Information Technology – Asia and Global Automation, and Head of Information Technology – Asia and Global Automation.

During his tenure, he led large-scale enterprise IT modernization initiatives, regional digital transformation programs, automation strategies, and global technology operations that supported business growth across multiple markets.

Proven Track Record Across Enterprise IT

Earlier in his career, Narasimhan served as Senior Director at Virtusa, where he led global delivery operations for the life sciences and healthcare provider business.

He also held the role of Lead – APAC IT Operations at Adient, overseeing regional IT operations and enterprise ERP implementation initiatives across Asia.

Prior to that, he spent over 11 years at Tata Consultancy Services, serving in multiple leadership roles focused on enterprise solutions, business relationship management, APAC presales, and niche growth platforms.

Automotive manufacturers worldwide are accelerating investments in cloud infrastructure, AI-powered automation, cybersecurity, ERP modernization, and digital engineering platforms to improve manufacturing efficiency and support the transition toward connected and software-defined mobility.
