Tata AIA Life Insurance has appointed Kamlesh Jobanputra as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), further strengthening its technology leadership as the company continues to advance its digital transformation journey and enhance its technology-driven capabilities.

In his new role, Jobanputra will be responsible for driving Tata AIA Life Insurance's overall technology strategy, with a focus on modernizing technology infrastructure, strengthening digital capabilities, accelerating innovation, and enabling scalable, customer-centric solutions that support the company's long-term business objectives.
Brings extensive insurance technology experience
Jobanputra joins Tata AIA Life Insurance from Edelweiss Life Insurance, where he served as Chief Technology and Data Officer. In that role, he led technology and data transformation initiatives, driving enterprise-wide digital innovation, modern technology platforms, and data-led business capabilities.
With more than two decades of experience across the insurance and financial services industry, he has developed deep expertise in enterprise technology, application development, IT strategy, digital transformation, technology governance, data management, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and risk management.
Proven leadership across leading insurers
Prior to Edelweiss Life Insurance, Jobanputra held several senior leadership positions across some of India's leading insurance organizations. He served as Head – Enterprise Applications at Kotak Life Insurance, AVP – Head of Application Development at IDBI Federal Life Insurance Company Ltd., Senior Manager – Projects (Health Insurance Applications) at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, and earlier worked as Business Analyst at NSEIT Limited and Bitsoft.
Over the years, he has successfully led multiple enterprise application modernization initiatives, digital platform implementations, technology transformation programs, and business-critical IT projects that have enhanced operational efficiency while improving customer experience.
