The elevation marks an important milestone in Patil’s career, reflecting his expertise across IT strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and insurance technology.
Leading technology transformation initiatives
In his new role, Pravin Patil will spearhead IndusInd General Insurance’s IT strategy, digital transformation roadmap, enterprise infrastructure initiatives, cybersecurity framework, technology governance, and innovation programs.
He will focus on driving technology-led business transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening digital capabilities, and building secure and scalable technology platforms to support the company’s continued growth in the insurance sector.
Over two decades of technology leadership experience
Pravin brings more than 20 years of experience across enterprise IT, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and digital transformation. Prior to this elevation, he served as Vice President – Information Technology, Head – IT Infrastructure & Chief IT Security Officer at IndusInd General Insurance (formerly Reliance General Insurance).
During his more than 14-year association with the organization, he played a key role in managing enterprise IT infrastructure, technology governance, cybersecurity initiatives, and digital transformation programs across a nationwide insurance network.
Strong foundation across enterprise technology
Before joining IndusInd General Insurance, Patil served as Manager – IT at Angel Broking Ltd., where he led IT operations and strategic infrastructure initiatives. Earlier in his career, he worked as Team Lead / Site Incharge at 3i Infotech, managing enterprise IT infrastructure support for IL&FS Investsmart.
He has also held technology roles including Microsoft Technology Specialist at Magnanimous Systems Pvt. Ltd. and Senior System Administrator / Team Lead at Kalinfo Computer Services Pvt. Ltd., gaining extensive experience in systems management, enterprise infrastructure, and technology operations.
