IFCI Limited has appointed Abinash Das as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Chief Information Officer (CIO), reinforcing the financial institution's commitment to technology-led transformation and digital innovation. Alongside his responsibilities at IFCI, Das will also serve as CTO of IFCI Factors Limited and contribute as a member of the IT Advisory Committees of Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd. (SHCIL) and IFCI Financial Services Ltd. (IFIN).
In his expanded leadership role, Das will spearhead IFCI's enterprise technology strategy, driving digital transformation, cybersecurity, IT governance, infrastructure modernization, and innovation initiatives. His focus will be on building a resilient, scalable, and future-ready technology ecosystem while aligning digital investments with business priorities and regulatory requirements.

Driving Digital Transformation Across India's Development Finance Ecosystem
Das has already played a significant role in IFCI's digital evolution during his tenure as Director at the organization. He led several enterprise-wide technology initiatives that strengthened digital operations while supporting some of India's largest government-backed industrial and manufacturing programs.
Under his leadership, IFCI developed integrated digital platforms supporting flagship initiatives such as the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, India Semiconductor Mission, Bulk Drug Parks, Medical Devices Parks, Modified Special Incentive Package Scheme (MSIPS), FAME II, and Scheme for Financial Assistance to Semiconductor Display Manufacturing (SDF). These technology-driven platforms facilitated the management and disbursement of grants worth nearly โน2.7 lakh crore, demonstrating the growing role of digital infrastructure in public sector financial institutions.
He also led the implementation of multiple enterprise platforms, including CRM, ERP, Loan Origination Systems, Loan Management Systems, HRMS, and several other mission-critical business applications that have enhanced operational efficiency and service delivery across the organization.
A Diverse Career Across Consulting, Enterprise Technology, and Innovation
Before assuming his current leadership role, Das worked as a Fractional CTO and Management Consultant, advising private equity firms, promoters, and technology startups on AI-led business transformation, SaaS product development, enterprise technology strategy, and digital business acceleration.
Earlier, he spent nearly six years at KONE, where he held leadership positions including IT Competence Center Head and Delivery Head. During this period, he led global shared services, cloud transformation, Industry 4.0 initiatives, enterprise analytics, Agile and DevOps adoption, SAP and Salesforce implementations, customer experience platforms, and large-scale automation programs that delivered significant operational efficiencies.
His entrepreneurial journey also includes co-founding a technology venture, where he served as Entrepreneur & CTO, focusing on digital transformation consulting, e-commerce solutions, marketing technology, customer data platforms, IoT, and mobile technologies.
Extensive Experience in Enterprise Technology Leadership
Das previously spent six years at Publicis Sapient, leading complex digital transformation and customer experience programs for global enterprises as Program Manager. He was responsible for managing large-scale digital commerce platforms, agile delivery models, and strategic technology consulting engagements.
Prior to that, he worked with Wipro Technologies as Project Manager, where he led global technology delivery programs, built high-performing engineering teams, and established automation and technology centers of excellence.
With more than two decades of experience across financial services, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, governance, and large-scale digital transformation, Das brings a comprehensive understanding of building secure and scalable digital enterprises.
His appointment marks another significant milestone in IFCI's technology transformation journey as the institution continues to modernize its digital infrastructure, strengthen governance, and leverage emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and support India's evolving financial and industrial ecosystem.
