Generali Central Life Insurance has announced the appointment of Dr. Puneet Kaur Kohli as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), reinforcing the company’s commitment to technology-driven innovation and customer-centric solutions.
Dr. Kohli joins Generali Central Life Insurance with a distinguished career spanning over two decades across insurance, finance, telecom, and global technology sectors. She brings with her extensive expertise in digital transformation, enterprise IT strategy, AI-enabled modernization, cloud infrastructure, and secure, large-scale technology operations.
Before joining Generali, Dr. Kohli served as President – Information Technology & Data and Chief Information & Technology Officer at Liberty General Insurance, where she led enterprise-wide modernization initiatives, integrated DevOps practices, and implemented scalable digital ecosystems. Her prior leadership roles include Chief Technology Officer at Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd., CTO & CIO at Manappuram Finance Limited, and Group Executive Vice President – IT & CTO at Bajaj Capital Ltd., where she consistently delivered measurable improvements in operational efficiency and customer experience.
Dr. Kohli’s career also spans global and regional technology leadership positions, including Director – IT Infrastructure & Service Operations (APAC) at Motricity, COO & Global CIO at SOMA Networks, Hub CIO at Bharti Airtel, and APAC CIO & Global Director – IT at Carrier Aircon. She began her professional journey with BSES (Reliance) Ltd./Accenture, where she managed IT operations and network services.
With a proven track record of architecting high-impact digital ecosystems and leading complex technology transformations, Dr. Kohli is expected to accelerate Generali Central Life Insurance’s innovation roadmap. She will focus on strengthening the company’s digital foundation, driving AI-led initiatives, and enhancing enterprise-wide agility and customer-centricity.
