Embassy Group has appointed Chirag Boonlia as Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO), reinforcing the company’s strategic focus on digital transformation and next-generation technology integration across its diversified real estate portfolio.
In his new role, Chirag Boonlia will lead the organization’s technology vision and digital strategy across commercial real estate, residential developments, co-working spaces and industrial parks. He will be responsible for defining enterprise-wide technology architecture, accelerating digital innovation initiatives and driving business value realization through scalable and future-ready technology ecosystems.
Return to Drive Embassy’s Digital Vision
The appointment marks a significant return for Chirag Boonlia, who previously served as Group CTO at Embassy Group for more than six years. His return is expected to further strengthen the company’s long-term Proptech roadmap as the real estate sector increasingly embraces automation, intelligent infrastructure, data-driven operations and digitally connected customer experiences.
Strong Legacy Across Technology Leadership Roles
Over the course of his career, Chirag has built a strong reputation as a transformational technology leader with extensive expertise spanning enterprise IT strategy, infrastructure modernization, ERP transformation, cybersecurity resilience and digital enterprise architecture. He most recently served as Director at RMZ, where he played a key role in advancing technology-led business transformation initiatives.
Prior to that, he held leadership positions at Virtuous Retail, where he was elevated to the role of Group CTO and Vice President – IT. During his tenure, he gained industry-wide recognition and was acknowledged among the “100 Top Retail Minds” in India for his contributions toward retail technology modernization and digital innovation.
Extensive Experience Across Enterprise Technology Ecosystems
His professional journey also includes senior technology leadership roles at Aditya Birla Retail Limited, Oracle and Infosys, where he was associated with several large-scale enterprise transformation programs involving infrastructure management, disaster recovery planning and enterprise-wide ERP deployments.
Widely regarded as a strategic technology leader with deep cross-industry expertise, Chirag Boonlia’s appointment comes at a time when the real estate industry is witnessing accelerated adoption of digital platforms, smart infrastructure technologies and integrated Proptech ecosystems aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer engagement.
