RICE Adamas Group has announced the appointment of Abdur Rafi as its new Chief Information Technology Officer (Group Head IT). With more than 26 years of experience in the field of information technology and digital strategy, he will be leading the group’s IT vision, strengthening its technological backbone, and driving digital transformation initiatives across its diversified operations.
Rafi joins RICE Adamas Group after an illustrious career with ABP Group, where he contributed for over two and a half decades in various leadership capacities, most recently as Deputy General Manager – IT & CISO. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in building resilient IT systems, implementing advanced cybersecurity frameworks, and leading enterprise-wide digital infrastructure projects. His expertise spans IT strategy, governance, security, and innovation, enabling organizations to embrace technology as a key enabler of growth.
An alumnus of the University of Calcutta, Rafi holds an M.Sc. in Statistics and an MBA in Project Management, combining strong analytical acumen with managerial excellence. Beyond his professional achievements, he is also known for his creative pursuits in poetry, music, dramatics, and short filmmaking, reflecting his holistic approach to leadership and innovation.
