Joint Venture with Restar Corporation
In August 2026, Rashi Peripherals Limited announced a joint venture with Restar Corporation, a leading Japanese technology and electronics company, to accelerate growth in its embedded and semiconductor business. The joint venture is scheduled to commence operations in October 2026.
As part of the transaction, Rashi Peripherals Limited will transfer its semiconductor business division to Rashi Semiconductor Solutions Private Limited, headquartered in Bengaluru, along with its step-down subsidiary based in Singapore.
Under the proposed structure:
Rashi Peripherals Limited will hold a 74% stake
Restar Corporation will hold a 26% stake
The joint venture will be governed by a four-member Board comprising three representatives from Rashi Peripherals Limited and one representative from Restar Corporation. Headquartered in Bengaluru, one of India's foremost semiconductor design and engineering hubs, the joint venture will leverage its presence across five major cities to support customers nationwide.
The partnership combines Restar Corporation's technology expertise, global semiconductor ecosystem relationships, and international presence with Rashi Peripherals' extensive distribution network, established customer base, and strong market-execution capabilities across India.
Together, the two organizations aim to accelerate the adoption of advanced semiconductor technologies, support localized solution development, and address the evolving requirements of manufacturers across automotive, robotics, industrial automation, and other high-growth sectors.
The joint venture will focus on delivering advanced image sensing solutions for industrial and automotive applications, backed by localized engineering, design, and technical support services tailored to the Indian market.
