Best Power Equipments (BPE) has achieved significant growth in the ASEAN region, with a notable focus on Vietnam. The company’s strong market entry is a direct result of its strategic positioning of high-quality products, competitive pricing, and its ‘Made in India’ brand, which has found overwhelming acceptance in the Vietnamese market.
According to Amitansu Satpathy, Group Managing Director of BPE, the ASEAN market is divided into two distinct layers. The top layer is dominated by premium European and American brands that offer expensive, high-end solutions. On the opposite end, there is the lower category, where products are often of poor quality, lacking certifications and solutions tailored to projects. BPE’s products, however, strategically fit in between these two extremes. They offer a solution-oriented approach with certified, high-quality products at prices significantly lower than the premium brands. This has enabled BPE to offer exceptional value and create a level playing field in the competitive market.
"We find overwhelming acceptance of BPE products and our ‘Made in India’ brand in the Vietnam market," Amitansu says. "Our solutions, which offer high quality with certifications and the necessary project credentials, are able to compete effectively with both high-end European and U.S. products as well as low-cost alternatives that lack quality and certification."
The distinction of ‘Made in India’ has also played a key role in BPE's success, particularly in the government sector, where there is an emerging, albeit understated, preference for non-Chinese products. This trend has provided BPE with a unique advantage in securing government tenders, as local policies in various ASEAN countries encourage alternatives to Chinese-made solutions.
BPE recently hosted a successful partner meet in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with its distributor, IDC. The event was aimed at strengthening relationships with partners and outlining the company's future growth trajectory. During the meet, BPE’s Distributor CTO, Mr. Kenny, delivered a strong message of confidence, highlighting the company’s ambitious $2 million revenue target. He emphasized that this target would be achieved through BPE’s diverse product portfolio, which is designed to cater to the varying needs of the market.
Mr. Kenny also showcased a key project that further reinforced BPE’s credibility in the region — the successful delivery of 6kVA units to the Treasury of Vietnam. This project not only demonstrated BPE’s technical capabilities but also underscored the company’s reliability in handling large-scale government tenders, further boosting trust and confidence among partners and potential clients in the region.
"Our partners are confident in their ability to achieve the $2 million target with BPE's product baskets," says Amitansu. "The confidence shown by our distributor partners in securing big tenders reflects the trust they have in our products and solutions."
BPE's growth extends beyond Vietnam, with significant strides being made in other ASEAN markets such as Indonesia. In collaboration with major data center projects for companies like NTT and KDDI, BPE has supplied critical IT power solutions. This includes working closely with IDC teams to provide reliable power solutions for data center infrastructure, reinforcing BPE’s position as a trusted supplier for large-scale IT projects across the region.
"With our product offerings already integrated into major IT infrastructure projects in Indonesia, such as those for NTT and KDDI, we are confident that BPE's power solutions will continue to support and expand our partners’ capabilities to deliver projects in the region," Amitansu states.
As BPE continues to expand its reach throughout ASEAN, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on its unique value proposition: offering high-quality, certified power solutions at competitive prices, backed by the credibility of a ‘Made in India’ brand. This combination of quality, certification, and pricing allows BPE to not only address current market needs but also pave the way for future growth and success across the region.
"By maintaining our focus on delivering the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction, we are well-positioned to expand our footprint and continue to offer dependable power solutions that support the growth of critical infrastructure across ASEAN," concludes Amitansu Satpathy.
