

Ingram Micro India has announced the appointment of Ankesh Kumar as its new Director and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), facilitating a strategic shift aimed at enhancing brand visibility and accelerating digital innovation in the ecosystem. In his new role, he will be a part of the Indian and Global Executive Leadership Team, spearheading a high-performing marketing team focused on growth and transformation of the IT channel landscape.
With a professional career spanning over two decades, Ankesh brings with him a wealth of experience in marketing, strategy, and business transformation. He is known for his sharp business acumen and insight about the technology landscape. With his appointment, the company is expected to contribute to the technology distribution sector amid rapid transformation due to the latest technologies.
Commenting on the appointment, he posted on his official LinkedIn handle, “I’m happy and excited to share that I’m joining Ingram Micro's India Executive Leadership team as Director & Chief Of Marketing! In this role, I will lead the Corporate Marketing, Ingram Micro Agency, and Digital Platform Marketing strategy, driving the company’s vision to be the IT industry’s most desired business partner.”
Prior to joining Ingram Micro, Ankesh played key leadership roles in several technology and marketing firms, playing a pivotal role in launching successful go-to-market strategies and fostering partner ecosystems. His vast cross-functional experience includes stints of around 12 years with Emerson Network Power, where he excelled as a Director of Product Management & Marketing after having started as a Head of Marketing and Communication. His tenure of around seven years with Schneider Electric, where he held the senior leadership role as a Director of Global Strategic Marketing, was followed by his appointment at Ingram Micro.
As per his educational background, Ankesh has pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology. Later, he did an MBA in Marketing from the ITM Group of Institute, followed by a Business Sustainability Management program in Sustainability Studies from the University of Cambridge.
As a seasoned marketing professional, Ankesh is anticipated to redefine Ingram Micro’s roadmap in integrated marketing, digital transformation, B2B campaigns, and partner engagement programs.
