

Bihar IT Association (BITA) successfully hosted its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Ambition Sresth Mall, Patna. The gathering served as an important platform for industry dialogue, strategic alignment, and leadership renewal, bringing together members, partners, and stakeholders from across the state’s technology landscape.
Over the years, BITA has played a pivotal role in strengthening the IT trade ecosystem in Bihar by fostering collaboration among partners, advocating industry interests, and enabling business growth at the grassroots level. The AGM marked a seamless and dignified leadership transition, reinforcing the association’s commitment to continuity and progress. Outgoing President Mr. Rajiv Agrawal formally handed over responsibilities to Mr. Shailesh Kumar in a ceremonious exchange that symbolized both legacy and future ambition.
Mr. Rajiv Agrawal was felicitated for his impactful tenure, during which BITA strengthened its engagement with members and expanded its industry presence. Taking charge, Mr. Shailesh Kumar expressed his vision to build on this strong foundation, with a renewed focus on innovation, deeper collaboration, and enhanced value creation for members across the state.
Reflecting on his tenure, Mr. Rajiv Agrawal, Outgoing President, BITA said, “Serving BITA has been an incredibly fulfilling journey, where our collective focus remained on strengthening the association’s structure, enhancing member engagement, and creating a more cohesive IT ecosystem across Bihar. Together, we have navigated industry shifts, expanded collaboration among partners, and reinforced BITA’s role as a strong regional voice. I firmly believe that the foundation we have built will enable the next leadership to scale new milestones, and create even greater value for the entire IT community.”
Taking charge, Mr. Shailesh Kumar, the Newly Elected President, BITA outlined his vision for the future, stating, “I am deeply honoured by the trust placed in me by the members of BITA, and I see this as both a responsibility and an opportunity to build on the strong legacy established over the years. Our focus will be on fostering deeper collaboration among partners, encouraging the adoption of emerging technologies, and creating structured platforms for knowledge sharing and growth. We aim to position BITA as a forward-looking, dynamic association that actively contributes to both regional and national IT development while delivering tangible value to every member.”

A key highlight of the evening was the esteemed presence of Mr. Navin Gupta, President of FAIITA, who was felicitated for his exceptional contribution to the national IT fraternity. Sharing his perspectives, he highlighted the rapid transformation underway in the technology sector and emphasized the crucial role that regional associations like BITA play in bridging local markets with national growth opportunities.
Mr. Navin Gupta remarked, “The strength of India’s IT ecosystem lies in the collective efforts of regional associations like BITA, which play a crucial role in empowering local partners and connecting them with the broader national framework. As technology continues to evolve rapidly, it becomes increasingly important for such bodies to act as enablers of knowledge, collaboration, and business transformation.”
He further added, “BITA has demonstrated strong leadership in this regard, and I am confident that under its new leadership, it will further strengthen its impact, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the IT distribution landscape.”
