The Punjab Association of Computer Traders (PACT) hosted an energetic and friendly cricket match between the Jalandhar Computers Dealers Association (JCDA) and the Hoshiarpur Computer Dealers Association (HDCA) under the PACT Friendship Tournament. The spirited encounter brought together members from both associations, reinforcing camaraderie and deepening the community connect within Punjab’s IT channel network.

Batting first, the Hoshiarpur team delivered an impressive performance by scoring 169 runs, setting a competitive target of 170 for Jalandhar. Despite their determined efforts, the JCDA team fell short of the chase, resulting in a well-deserved victory for Hoshiarpur. With this win, HDCA lifted the tournament trophy, while Jalandhar took home the runner-up title for their commendable performance.

The match drew an enthusiastic turnout, with key industry leaders in attendance, including PACT President Mr. Prem Saini, JCDA Chairman Mr. Rajiv Khanna, HDCA President Mr. Sunil Verma, and PACT Vice President and Jalandhar President Mr. Supreet Singh. Over 50 members from both associations participated, underscoring the event’s significance as a unifying platform for the regional IT community.

Speaking exclusively to DT, Mr. Prem Saini, President of PACT, emphasized the significance of the initiative. He stated, “Events like the PACT Friendship Tournament are essential for strengthening our bonds beyond business. They provide a platform for members to interact informally, exchange ideas, and build stronger relationships that ultimately benefit the entire IT trade community. We are delighted to see such high participation and sportsmanship from both teams.”

Adding his perspective, Mr. Supreet Singh, Vice President of PACT and President of JCDA, talked to DT and highlighted the positive spirit of the tournament. He explained, “The enthusiasm shown by both associations reflects the unity and collaborative mindset within the Punjab IT channel. While Jalandhar could not secure the win this time, our team played with full dedication. We look forward to the upcoming match and continuing this healthy tradition.”

Reflecting on the victory and team effort, Mr. Sunil Verma, President of HDCA, told DT, said, “Our team is thrilled with today’s victory, but what truly matters is the team spirit and unity displayed throughout the event. It was a wonderful opportunity for members from both cities to interact, support each other, and celebrate our association’s bond. We eagerly welcome everyone to Hoshiarpur for the next match.”
