FAIITA Retail Conclave supported by Uttar Pradesh Computer Dealers Welfare Association (UPCDWA) concluded successfully. The conclave was organized on 6th & 7th April at Lucknow. The objective of the conclave was to boost the confidence of IT retailers in India. This two-day conclave was a great platform for participating retailers to discuss their concerns and gain business tips from brands to capitalize on the growth opportunities. The event was a grand success and achieved great response.
Key Initiative to Empower Retailers
The members of all the IT associations joined this mega retail event. More than 100 delegates graced the event with their presence and supported FAIITA & UPCDWA in taking the event forward. FAIITA hosted six sessions for two hours with each brand to address all the key issues. FAIITA & UPCDWA jointly arranged direct interaction between all the leading tech brands and all India dealers who attended the event.
National representatives from each brand briefed about their growth roadmap, and future product launches. Followed by their presentation, two moderators from FAIITA asked questions collected nationally from retailers about the issues faced on certain brand policies particularly on DOA/Demo units, delay in claim settlement, and fixed cost of brand store and also suggested how to improve for better working with retailers in the future. Retailers also got the opportunity to raise their concerns to the senior leadership team of all the participating brands directly.
Overwhelming Response from Industry
This event witnessed huge participation of stakeholders and retailers’ community. FAIITA brought together more than 125 retailers from across India who made it a great and successful event. Moreover, all the principal IT OEMs participated at the conclave. In addition to that, the event also got support from leading IT brands which includes Acer, ASUS, Canon, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. State associations also extended their support to make this event a great success.

While speaking to DT about successfully hosting this grand retail conclave, Naveen Gupta, National General Secretary, FAIITA said, “We have been receiving messages from retailers about the challenges they are facing in running the business. Hence to help the retailers and create a positive business ecosystem, we hosted the Retail Conclave 2023. We invited around 4 dealers from each state and also invited major OEMs to eliminate all challenges. National representatives from each OEM participated in the conclave and presented their growth roadmap. During this, the retailers raised all their concerns with the top leadership of the brands. Everyone has appreciated our effort and FAIITA has successfully worked towards empowering the retailers’ community. We congratulate FAIITA and UPCDWA on the successful conclave and hope such events continue to be organized in the future.”
Mr. Devesh Rastogi, President, FAIITA exclusively talked to DT on concluding the retail conclave on a successful note. He said, “There are over 1300 retail stores across India including all brands and more than 600 retailers participated at this event. In this way we covered more than 60% stores across the country. Through this event, we raised all the concerns of the participating retailers in front of the brands and tried to find a solution. We have received good response from brands and FAIITA is hopeful that brands will take right steps in this direction very soon. FAIITA is aggressively working on the agenda of moving retail stores to hybrid model and we have done a good job on this plan here. So this is obviously one of the biggest achievements of this conclave. Finally, we have successfully completed the Retail Conclave 2023 and it will definitely help not only the retailers but also the brands to grow.”
All brands appreciated the concept of the Retail Conclave organized by FAIITA where they met dealers from all over India in one go, and their message was flashed nationally as all sessions were live telecasted on Facebook. The retailers from all over India appreciated the efforts of FAIITA and UPCDWA for organizing such a beautiful event where discussions were held for the benefit of the retail market, Brand Stores, MBO, and T3 partners.
The joint initiative by FAIITA and UPCDWA definitely enhanced the confidence of all retailers who attended the conclave at Lucknow. FAIITA has been emphasizing on making the IT ecosystem stronger. With such aim, Retail Conclave 2023 is a milestone in the journey. FAIITA has also got the support of state associations.
