

In a significant step towards strengthening Bihar’s technology ecosystem, Mr. Navin Gupta, President of FAIITA, led a delegation including Mr. Rajiv Agrawal, President, and Mr. Ravi Bhushan, Vice President of the Bihar IT Association (BITA), to meet the newly elected Hon’ble IT cum Sports Minister, Shreyasi Singh. The discussion centered on accelerating IT growth, fostering innovation, and building a collaborative ecosystem across the state.

FAIITA, under the guidance of Mr. Navin Gupta will mobilize top professionals from software, hardware, solutions, and cybersecurity domains to understand the state’s infrastructure and environmental requirements for IT expansion. These workshops aim to provide actionable insights and strategies to attract industry participation, investment, and talent development in Bihar.
Minister Shreyasi Singh, an accomplished former double-trap shooter and Commonwealth Games gold and silver medallist, brings a unique combination of sports excellence and political acumen to her ministerial role. Educated at Hansraj College, Delhi, and holding an MBA from Manav Rachna International University, she was inducted as one of Bihar’s youngest ministers on 20 November 2025. Her dynamic leadership and focus on innovation are expected to significantly impact Bihar’s IT sector and digital growth initiatives.
Minister Shreyasi Singh welcomed these initiatives and acknowledged the importance of collaborative efforts between policymakers and industry leaders. While talking to DT about Bihar’s IT ecosystem and the recent meeting with Hon’ble Minister Shreyasi Singh, Mr. Navin Gupta said, “The meeting was extremely productive, and I was encouraged by Minister Shreyasi Singh’s positive response to our initiatives. We discussed ways to strengthen IT-enabled services, support MSMEs, and promote hardware and cybersecurity sectors in Bihar. She appreciated the idea of organizing specialized workshops to bring industry experts to the state and explore infrastructure requirements, which will help attract investment and talent.”
