“We’ll Expand Mini PC Range Under our Liva Family”

In 2016 ECS finally received certification of BIS and has thus become the first and the only company getting this certification for the products in the gaming segment. It does not want to stop here and wants to expand its mini PC range.  Rajshekhar Bhatt, Country Manager, India, ECS shares his views on company’s channel plans for this New Year.

DT: What have been the key highlights of your company during the year 2016?

A: From India specific we are happy to affirm our strong presence in the new product line which we do envisage shall emerge as a dynamic game-changer in futuristic mini PC technology. We have finally received certification of BIS and have thus become the first and the only company getting this certification for the product in this brand segment.

From the point of view of Channel marketing, we have successfully executed and developed over 30 effective dealer meets across India in the shortest period of time spanning only a little over one year, whereby we got connected with over 1200 strong business partners.

DT: What is the central force which keeps partners and consumers loyal to your brand?

A: Firstly it’s directly correlated to the great product quality and innovative design which ECS offers to its key partners and consumers. And secondly for past two years the work we have done has proved our dedication in delivering best user experience to them. The close cooperation without distributors, has helped our partners to proactively respond to the rapid changing market dynamics.

DT: Since GST has finally been passed by the central government, how will it affect your business and the economy?

A: As far as we are concerned any policy and law that streamlines the current cumbersome tax process and makes it convenient is always welcome. We do believe that if this GST is able to create a firm structure very compliant and conducive to the highly changing ICT industry.

DT: How does the channel help you to reach out to your potential customers? What’s your channel strength?

A: We constantly plan multiple activities with our partners with an objective of creating more awareness about our products to wider market. We do this as it benefits us in the final outcome because we always have believed in giving our partners unique proposition with regards to our products and target segment.

DT: What’s your roadmap or strategy for the year 2017?

A: In the year 2017, we at ECS have envisioned to strengthen our research and design. It will help us to launch a range of products in mini PC and gaming motherboards. We will continue to bring more innovations with our LIVA series, aiming to make our users enjoy high-performance products at affordable prices.

DT: What is your current revenue? What is your projection for the year 2017?

A: Although there is an overall decline in PC market, we are still experiencing good business and foresee potential growth in mini PC. We will continue to evolve along with the market conditions to provide more innovative mini PCs under our LIVA family. We will not only maintain but enhance the best user experience in their daily life. We expect LIVA series to grow by 400% in 2017. As to motherboard, we will continue to dedicate in providing various feature rich choices to market at sweet spot price. Our diversity of product lines from entry level to high performance level, ensuring that the end user gets all they desire. And we expect the growth to be better than in the year 2016 considering positive impact of Digital India initiative helping ICT industry by large.
