Kingston is ranked as the #1 memory module manufacturer in the world with close to 60% market share, and the company have similar plans for India in 2017. One of the important memory players in the country, the company has a strong presence in the market with excellent product offerings. Vishal Parekh, Marketing Director, Kingston Technology, chats with DT and reveals his upcoming marketing and channel plans. 

DT: What have been the key highlights of your company during the year 2016?

A: Kingston has been a super active brand in 2016 in terms of market activations and National sales. Right from our new products, to channel partner engagements, to event participation - we are overwhelmed with the response in India this year. We have been ranked as one of the fastest growing brand globally and we are happy to have tapped most segments of the storage markets in India.

DT: What is the central force which keeps partners and consumers loyal to your brand?

A: Kingston is a strong global brand and the quality assurance in our products, processes, management and expertise is something channel partners look up to. It is also the strong relationship we share with our partners that matter. Encapsulating the direct relation with them, we also enable partners to compete in this market, with expert guidance and benefits.

DT: Is your company engaged in any Govt. projects specifically under the Digital India program?

A: With the expertise we have for flash and memory solutions, we are working with multiple partners to satisfy requirements of the government agencies involved in this program. 

DT: How does the channel help you to reach out to your potential customers? What’s your channel strength?

A: Kingston is a channel friendly company and we believe in growing with the channel partners. With our product and market expertise, we provide a platform for our network to improve and grow in terms of revenue and reach. With strong relations with our channel partners, we are able to provide useful first-hand information on the price fluctuations and help them prepare to seize market opportunities.

DT: What is your assurance for providing excellent service support to your customer?

A: We believe in enhancing our products, services and the overall experience in a way that is beneficial for our customers. Service is the lifeblood of any organization, good service is all about enhancing customer experience and turning them into advocates. India is an important market to consider this aspect as a pain point. We are committed to keep our strategies dynamic in order to provide an even better service, with time. We not only provide the best quality at the best price but also provide one of the best customer service support to customers and to the channel. Moreover, the technology market is very competitive and our strong service is practically our USP. In the time to come, we will focus our energies and investments to make a positive impact.

DT: What’s your roadmap or strategy for the year 2017? 

A: According to the third-party research firms, Kingston is ranked as the #1 memory module manufacturer in the world with close to 60% market share, and we have similar plans for India.  Kingston is a channel friendly company and we believe in growing with our channel partners. We have made a stronger communication model to reach our channel more effectively. In 2016, we plan to reach out to enterprises and thus expand on our existing market. The channel partners will play a key role in sustaining and expanding the brand’s presence in the country. We believe in strengthening and supporting our partners by introducing exciting creative marketing promotion for the channel partners and end users.
