“We Are Very Much Optimistic About Our Plans for Indian Market”

With the growing users of mobile devices, we have seen tremendous opportunity for players who are into manufacturing of communication components. Whereas India has become the favorite destination for leading manufacturers as we have seen huge consumption of mobile devices in current years. TAI-SAW Technology CO. LTD, one of the Taiwan based leading manufacturing, design and service provider for high performance communication components Company is also planning their expansion in Indian market. To establish their feet, company recently participated in ELECTRONICA Expo at New Delhi. DT got an opportunity to meet Mr. YT Huang, Chairman, TAI-SAW Technology CO. LTD at this expo. Mr. Huang shared his company’s strategy and upcoming plans for Indian market. Below are some excerpts.

Q) How do you see the Indian communication market?

A) Indian market is one of the fastest growing market in the world. We have observed huge growth in terms of consumption of mobile devices since last few years. The growth will continue to lead the global player to tap the existing and upcoming opportunities. India is the second largest mobile market in the world so we see this as a huge opportunity.

Q) Please brief us about your company’s product and solutions.

A) TAI-SAW Technology is leader in manufacturing, design and service provider for high performance communication components. We are the leader in SAW device supplier in Taiwan. We are one of the leading OEM/ODM supplier of SAW devices in the world. We have best manufacturing facility and have best manpower with almost 500 employees in Taiwan and about 300 in China. We are expanding our presence to other parts of the Asian market and India is one of the target market.

Q) What are your plans for India market?

A) We are very much optimistic about our plans for Indian market. Our company has very robust plan as we are closely working on product design and components from Indian perspective. Initially we don’t have plan to setup direct presence or establishing our office here as we will work through partner module for time being. Currently we have already found some interested partners from Bangalore and hopefully we will confirm our associations very soon.

Q) Which are your target verticals in India?

A) We do serve different sets of verticals globally as our products are very excellent and developed with very highly experienced team in our R&D centre. We cater to automotive, WiFi, Bluetooth, Satellite, Medical and many other verticals. As India has the fastest growing economy in world so looking forward for very healthy market growth.

Q) What is your overall experience of participating at such expo? Can we see you engaging in some other activities in coming months?

A) Expo plays very crucial role for company like us to see the overall potential of the market. Participation at Indian expo helped us in identifying right partners to grow our business. This will ultimately enhanced our presence across various market and geographical reach. Surly we have such plans in future to participate in different exhibitions to promote our brand and products. We are really ready to invest in India for further growth but this will be carried in phased manner.

Q) Do you think current government’s policy is good for doing business in India? What is your opinion on ‘Make in India’ campaign?

A) Yes of course, current Indian Government is very serious on creating better business environment. Modi Government is really on right path to pull overseas investors in India to invest in various government projects like Make in India, Smart Cities and Digital India.
