UST Global Signs MoU with College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET)

UST Global announced that it has signed an MoU with the College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET). The MoU will allow Infinity LabsTM, an innovation center of UST Global, and CET students to jointly collaborate in cutting edge technologies like Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

UST Global believes that the academia and industry can together solve business problems of customers. The MoU will help students enhance their knowledge about the latest technologies by working on UST Global’s innovation ecosystem. The internship is for a duration of 3-6 months and the students will work from UST Global’s Trivandrum campus.

CET was established in 1939 as the first engineering college in the then princely state of Travancore. The institute which ranked 75th in the prestigious NIRF (2018) ranking by MHRD under engineering category, currently offers 8 under graduate, 27 post graduate and doctoral programmes under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The college overall has around 4000 students.

UST Global Infinity LabsTM is building Digital Innovation capabilities across domains like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics, Robotic Process Automation, UI/UX, Social, Mobile, Augmented Reality, Internet of Things, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Design Thinking and Enterprise Computing. The Infinity LabsTM are a core ingredient of UST Global’s Innovation-as-a-Service offering. It creates a confluence of Digital Technologies, Human Centered Design, Artificial Intelligence, the company’s ecosystem of partners and cutting edge R&D from the academia. The Infinity LabsTM provide a platform for UST Global employees to get exposed to cutting edge technologies, get access to world-class R&D institutions and disruptive startups from around the world.

The students will get an opportunity to work on state-of–the art labs and also keep updated on the latest technologies in various disciplines, which will help them mould their career. This will equip students to take up challenging problems posed by the industry and help developing solutions for them. We are extremely happy that students have already shown keen interest in working with the Infinity LabsTM of UST Global and have taken up projects related to areas like Data Analytics, Block Chain, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Robotics, IOT and Financial Engineering. As the first step, the Infinity Labs, UST and CET-Centre for Interdisciplinary Research join hands to develop a novel social robot for UST. Indeed, this collaborative project requires expertise in state-of-the-art digital technologies such as robotics, automation, IoT, deep learning and artificial intelligence. Hope this association will provide the right impetus for the faculty and students in cutting edge technologies of the future.”
