QAD Inc. announced that it is expanding its Mumbai, India office. Founder and President Pam Lopker participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the expansion.
“India is quickly becoming one of the world’s most important automotive manufacturing hubs,” said Lopker. “QAD India has provided solutions and services to India and the Asia Pacific region for many years, and the growth there means we need to expand our presence. I am excited to spend time with our team of professionals in India and meet with our customers. India has the fourth largest automotive industry in the world. In 2017-18, passenger vehicle production surpassed 4 million, according to the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India.
Lopker, who founded QAD in 1979, was in Mumbai with QAD Senior Vice President, Customer Support, Chris Hageman and Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific, Stefan de Haar. She participated in the ribbon cutting celebration, followed by meetings with employees, and customers from different parts of the country.
