“India’s healthcare industry has boomed with the emergence of many home healthcare organizations in the last few years. The last year, in particular has witnessed a surge in the homecare services offered to the public because of its greater awareness. With many people opting for homecare services as a solution to their long term Healthcare problems, there has been a rise in the number of firms in the Home healthcare sector.
In the Budget 2016, the Government should include expenses towards home Healthcare services and wellness programs to be a part of the medical reimbursements in salary payables and should be exempted from tax as well. As a home healthcare service doesn’t come under health insurance, non-insurable health spends has to be tax- exempted through programmes like health savings account, etc.”
