“Our Channel Strategy is Focused On Providing The Best Consumer Experience”

When it comes to buy any networking products, we see huge competition among all major brands who are already there from more than 10 years. But today consumers are really king as they are very much powered now adays due to immense knowledge resources available digitally. They do all sort of basics before purchasing any gadgets to grab best deal. Tenda, the well-known networking brand has gained very encouraging market share during 2019, as they have created all means of consumer connections to win their trust which is based on best technology products at an affordable price point. Within few years of their establishment, company has established their feet in Indian networking market by offering advanced solutions for all your networking needs. This penetration has been achieved under the leadership of John Dong, Director, Tenda India & SAARC as he laid down strong channel network along with best talent in his core team. In a recent chat with DT, John revealed his game plan for year 2020. 

Q: How do you see the brand’s overall business growth in CY 2019?  

A: Tenda is one of the leading networking equipment manufacturers for Wi-Fi routers, PoE switches, Outdoor Station Antennas and other portable networking equipment. In the year 2019, we witnessed double-fold growth in all our segments. As for the revenue figures, we were able to clock 40% growth (YoY). 

Q: What will be your overall business growth or target revenue for CY 2020?  

A: For the year 2020, we are anticipating to lead the market and offer one-stop solutions with our entire networking solutions whether it is businesses or household vertical.  We are expecting to reach another INR 300cr. 

Q: What will be your key focused products line-up in the year 2020?  

A: We are looking to expand our product portfolio in 2020 and bring in AI-based products for B2B as well as B2C segments. Primarily, we are into networking solutions, routers, PoE switches, range extenders, adapters, Passive range and security cameras. In the coming months, we will be forging into Passive range expansion, Smart Plug, Smart Lamps (Led Bulb) and more Wireless IP-Camera. 

Q: What will be your channel strategy to drive substantial growth?  

A: Primarily, our channel strategy is focused on providing the best consumer experience. We are driving a two-way strategy, focusing on both B2B and B2C verticals. Currently, we are directly associated with 150+ primary partners with WOD of 15000+ across county. Our products are available at almost every IT and networking resell points.  Coming financial year we will penetrate more into tire 2-tier 3 cities in eastern India. Aside time to time we on launching trade incentive scheme for our channel partners and Yes, trade ethics and transparency is our key mantra. 

Q: Can you please share your service support commitment for your loyal customers?   

A: Although, our product passes through strict and highly qualified Quality Check process, we offer 3 years of warranty policy. We also qualified manufacturing R&D infrastructure and we maintain high quality standard throughout our product portfolio. For Tenda, the customer is the most important element in our business dealing. Therefore, we give special attention to their queries and provide the best of customer service support (pre and post). Our existing services support infrastructure is customer –friendly. Currently, we have 20+ services centers in India and we are planning to expand our service centers for smoother customer support.
