Oracle Updates its Cloud Accelerator Program

In April 2016, Oracle launched its first-of-its-kind global startup accelerator initiative, called ‘Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator’ program, with the primary aim to help speed up a startup’s development through a combination of technical and business mentoring.

After successfully mentoring and working with the first group of early-stage Indian technology start-ups over the past six months, these startups are now advancing towards establishing successful businesses. They included:

  1. ExpertRec: has developed a machine learning-based, plug-and-play search and recommendation solution for online marketplaces
  2. NiYO Solutions: a fintech startup focused on alternate payment mechanisms
  3. Ray IoT Solutions: has developed a mobile-based sleep monitoring device to detect infant healthcare dysfunctions
  4. Tydy: provides a mobile first, automated employee on-boarding platform 
  5. Vear: provides a device agnostic, augmented and virtual reality platform for content distribution and marketing

 Announcing winners of group 2

After the successful debut of the Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator Program in India in 2016, Oracle received twice the number of applications in Group 2 than in Group 1. The second group of finalists start operating from the accelerator center on Jan 10, 2017.

The second group of finalists of the Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator Program are:

  1. Ezedox– This startup provides a digital locker solution built on the 'Aadhaar ecosystem.’ Its solution provides digitally signed online applications, eKYC enablement, storage, collaboration, categorization, tagging, browsing and sharing of documents.  
  2. Farebond– Co-founded by Prathmesh Kant, Naveen Setia and Ravi Jain, this is a data science and predictive analytics startup that provides dynamic price lock for undecided travellers to hold their airfare and get more time to plan. It has an extensive risk management process to keep lock pricing attractive to the end customer while mitigating all operational risks involved.
  3. initCodes– The brain-child of Pria Randolph and Rohit Chaturvedi; this startup is an R&D IT company that specializes in Fintech innovation, data protection and futuristic commerce. Recognised by the Govt. of India and Govt. of Karnataka, they are currently building a Unified Intelligence Platform for digital transactions using cloud, block chain technology and predictive analytics.
  4. Trendlyne– Founded by Amber Pabreja (CEO) and Devi Yesodharan (CMO); this startup’s business idea is to simplify investing. It is an advisor marketplace for financial services, offering a platform for stock market analysis, research reports, stock alerts, visualization tools, and aggregated business newsfeed.
  5. Sonder Connect–Sonder Connect is a not for profit trust founded by four women who identify, nurture, and champion high potential women-led startups in India with the goal of growing them to be multi-million/billion dollar companies.
