With continuous advancements in the IT landscape, the need to protect networks and all related digital devices from evolving cyber security threats has led to an increase in the demand of IT security software, says Mr. Govind Rammurthy, CEO & MD, eScan in an interaction with DT while sharing views on the company's roadmap for the coming year.

Q. Will you summarize the overall performance of your company in year 2015?

A. The overall performance of eScan is quite exciting till Q3. All of our SOHO, SMB and enterprise products are continuously receiving respectable response globally. Considering the increasing number of iOS devices, we have also developed eScan Mobile Security for iPhones and iPads for the convenience of the increasing iOS device users. This year we have expanded our operations further globally and increased focus as India market and have operations in 39 cities of India.

Q. Can you honestly tell why should consumers or partners trust your brand?

A. With more than 2 decades of Research & Development, we have established ourselves as one of the leading pureplay security providers. And today our products are globally accepted even in US and Europe market. Our innovative and futuristic technologies like MWL Technology, DIRC Technology, NILP Technology and sophisticated Anti-Virus Heuristic Algorithms that not only provides protection from current threats, but also provides proactive protection against evolving threats.

Q. What's your opinion about Government of India's Digital India program? How do you support this program?

A. Digital India has created new economic and social opportunities and has also opened avenues for cyber criminals to intrude and exploit vulnerable users. The government initiative that is planning to transform the country into a connected economy can be fruitful only if security measure of the network is well planned. Despite all the security risks, the movement towards Digital India is unavoidable. The current challenge is that, major government departments and e-governance projects are working in silos.

Q. How does the channel help you to reach out to your potential customers? What's your channel strength?

A. Today we have more than 7500 national channel partners selling eScan products across all segments. They are proactively working with eScan to expand its market across their region. With our enhanced channel partner program, marketing activities, channel events and incentive programs, more partners are joining the family.

At eScan, we recognize the contribution of our valued partners in our constant growth. We support our channel partners by working closely at each step with them in identifying new opportunities and ensuring business profitability. Our eScan partner program is designed to help partners and support system for their business growth. We have periodic channel incentive schemes designed to ensure higher benefits. In order to strengthen our channel partner relationships across the globe, we plan special marketing strategies together to ensure mutual beneficial growth.

Q. What are your assurances for providing excellent service support to your customer?

A. We have 24x7 online support for all our customers, resellers and distributors through e-mails, telephone and chat. Local language support in all regions is available locally in various countries. In India we have our support teams available across 39 locations for our partners and users.

Q. What's your roadmap or strategy for the year 2016?

A. With continuous advancements in the IT landscape, the need to protect networks and all related digital devices from evolving cyber security threats has led to an increase in the demand of IT security software. The current scenario in Anti-Virus market in India among home users/ Retail is on growth path at a rate of 20-25% (approx.). The distribution or the reach to end customers is largely through our channel network. At the Enterprise and SMB segment, eScan is one of the fastest growing Indian brand and has been well accepted for the network.
