An era of Nokia Handset will end as we all know about Nokia- Microsoft merger deal of USD 7.2 billion. Once the deal is closed by 25th April, the Nokia mobile will be renamed to Microsoft Mobile. According to different sources and a leaked email from Microsoft is to be believed, the handset division of Nokia can be renamed Microsoft Mobile once the Microsoft Nokia takeover deal is through.

According to leaked email states, "Please note that upon the close of the transaction between Microsoft and Nokia, the name of Nokia Corporation/Nokia Oyj will change to Microsoft Mobile Oy. Microsoft Mobile Oy is the legal entity name that should be used for VAT IDs and for the issuance of invoices."

Nokiaโ€™s handset and services business will be known as Microsoft Mobile Oy, Nokia said in a mail sent out to existing users with a Nokia account. In the deal, Microsoft will subsume nearly 32,000 Nokia employees including CEO Stephen Elop, who will become the head of devices at Microsoft reporting to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

Nokia announced that it expects the transaction whereby the company will sell substantially all of its Devices & Services business to Microsoft to close on April 25, 2014. The transaction is now subject only to certain customary closing conditions.
