MoveInSync Technology Solutions (MIS) has partnered with PotHoleRaja to fix 40 sq metres of potholes on the traffic-heavy 18th cross road in HSR Layout. This will help in making the lives of thousands of daily commuters safer & reduce the number of accidents in the area.

As part of corporate social responsibility, a team of 30 volunteers from MoveInSync, along with members of PotHoleRaja cleaned and filled up 40 sq metre of potholes, more than 20 in number, with cold asphalt, transforming the stretch of 18th cross road in HSR layout. The employees volunteered in fixing the potholes with support from PotholeRaja that uses an easy, eco-friendly and innovative way of fixing potholes.

India’s workforce faces massive unproductive hours on the road due to bad road infrastructure including potholes. Keeping these issues in check by identifying and developing infrastructure can ensure a seamless flow of traffic. 18th cross road in HSR Layout is a busy by-lane and home to many budding startups including names such as Udaan, Hashed In, XoXoday and CureFit, with many employees using the stretch daily for work commute. With this initiative MoveInSync aims to create awareness and understanding of social responsibility towards road safety.

Commenting on the initiative, Deepesh Agarwal, CEO and co-founder, MoveInSync said, “As a part of the transportation ecosystem, we feel it is our duty to engage in activities that help preserve road safety. PotHoleRaja has been doing commendable work in this area and working with them to fix potholes has been a great experience. Our business offerings are based on solving the office commute issue and ensuring that we are able to provide road safety is a key aspect of that. While we are happy with what we have achieved here today, we hope to take on more such initiatives to see a pothole-free Bangalore.”

As per the results of the TomTom Traffic Index, a report detailing the traffic situation in 416 cities in 57 countries, Bengaluru takes the top spot as the most traffic congested city in the world. Confined in endless traffic jams, office-goers in Bengaluru have seen their commute speeds drop dramatically over the years. According to a survey done by engineers of the BBMP, there are around 15,000 potholes in Bengaluru. A 570-page report prepared by the city traffic police has also listed out at least 244 roads that are in a bad condition with potholes at 518 spots. This calls for more awareness for citizens and corporates on the importance of road safety and keeping roads pothole-free.
