Kingston Educates Partners on SSDs Benefits

As more and more consumers realize the benefits of SSD technology and the pricing becomes more and more affordable, it is expected that SSD products would be the year of SSD.

Kingston Technology, the independent world leader in memory products, held an innovative SSD Challenge in Hyderabad early this month to showcase the superior features of their SSDNow product line. The challenge, called the SSDNow Challenge, was a bold move to challenge tech enthusiasts in India’s tech hub to test their HDDs against Kingston’s SSDNow products.

Participants and on-lookers were left stunned as the challenge demonstrated the clear superiority of Kingston’s SSDs over their HDD counterparts in terms of durability, speed and performance. There were two different test rounds held for participants:

1) Speed Test: This round tested boot up time, or opening up different applications at a single time.

2) Death Match: This round challenged participants to drop their HDD and the Kingston SSDNow from a height of 5 feet

On winning both the challenge rounds, a participant could walk away with a free SSD. Needless to say, no participant’s HDD could beat Kingston’s mighty SSDNow range. In all aspects – speed, durability and performance, Kingston’s SSDNow range emerged as the undisputed winner.

Talking about the SSDNow Challenge, Vishal Parekh – Marketing Director for Kingston Technology in India, had this to say. “The SSD Challenge was an enjoyable and innovative way to showcase to consumers the undeniable superiority of the SSD over the HDD. We wanted to showcase to tech aficionados the impressive performance, speed, durability and importance – value for money that SSDs bring to the table. We strongly believe that soon SSD technology will prove to become the technology of the future.”

The SSDNow Challenge was organized at 3 different venues in Hyderabad – Cyber Gateway, Ananth Technologies Ltd and Cyber Pearl with over 1200 attendees at the venues.

Kingston’s SSDNow range has a quicker load time and helps to transfer and edit large media files a lot quicker than HDDs. Moreover, there is no fear of losing data when your Kingston SSDNow falls from a height. In addition, it stays cool and silent, and is less likely to fail than a standard hard drive. Kingston’s SSDNow comes with three-year warranty and free technical support services.
