Gigabyte Opens Service Centers in Kolkata & Kochi

Gigabyte Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd has recently opened full-fledged Gigabyte Exclusive Service Centers in Kolkata (West Bengal) and Kochi (Kerala). The company had opened similar centers in Mumbai and Ahmedabad earlier this year, while its New Delhi center is scheduled to be inaugurated shortly.

The Kolkata and Kochi centers, which average approximately 1,500-squarefoot space, will act as service hubs for the country’s Eastern and Southern regions respectively. All GIGABYTE Exclusive Service Centers are located in, or are in close proximity, to IT market hubs in the respective regions. This is aimed at helping GIGABYTE resellers / retailers provide faster and superior services to the end-customer.

The centers will cover every aspect involved in providing after-sales services. While high-end BGA machines and skilled engineers (including those from Taiwan), will take care of motherboard repairs even up to Level 4, the centers will also be equipped with adequate buffer stock to facilitate Across the Table Replacement (ATR). In addition to the space, the company has also invested in the fixed costs involved, such as interiors and the other relevant infrastructure.

Gigabyte’s service partner, Accel Frontline, will also provide manpower support for the centers’ activities.

Gigabyte Exclusive Service Centers will work in tandem with the company’s over 30 Special Service Partners (SSPs); over 30 Accel Care Centers (ACC); and 24 ATRs. SSPs are basically Gigabyte Premium Partners appointed as motherboard collection agents. ACCs and ATRs are collection points and replacement centers respectively, which are part of Accel Frontline.

Elaborating on the new Gigabyte Service Centers, Sunil Grewal, Sales Director – India, Gigabyte Technology (India), said, “After-sales service has always been a major focus area for GIGABYTE India, and we are consistently striving not only to meet, but also exceed, customer satisfaction and demands. Having our own Service Centers at different regions, capable of providing a ‘complete’ service solution, for end-users and channel partners based in these regions, was like a dream project for us, and which also involves a huge investment. We are really delighted that most of our planned centers are now open, and are sure, our customers will feel the same whenever they approach us for services.”
